You got questions, we got answers!
Our most requested questions are below, but maybe we missed one or you have an even better question. Drop us an email and we will make sure to respond.
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds secreted by cannabis flowers. The most common ones are CBD and THC, but there are more than 100 different cannabinoids.
Who is this product line for?
Everyone! No matter your age, race or gender, we can all benefit from botanical support for healthy skin and hair.
Will these products get me high?
No. When applied topically, cannabinoids aren't absorbed into the bloodstream. The same way that an alcohol wipe disinfects skin without intoxicating you, cannabis-infused topicals work directly on the areas where they're applied.
What does CBD do for the hair and skin?
CBD is an antioxidant and an adaptogen. Antioxidants fight against the free radicals (think bacteria, UV rays, viruses)  on your skin and scalp. CBD helps regulate the production of sebum (your skins' natural oils).
Where does your CBD and other ingredients come from?
All of our CBD and hemp extracts are produced in the United States. Many of our botanicals are sourced from all over the world. For example, the baobab we use primarily comes from women growers in Africa through special work programs.
Is hemp/CBD/CBG safe?
Generally yes, and we take extra precautions in screening our ingredients providers and testing all of our goods. That said, it's important to patch test our products first if you are prone to any skin sensitivities. If you are taking a hemp product internally, it's important to pay attention to what other medications and herbs you're taking, and make sure there are no potential negative interactions.
Where are your products made?
All of our products are made in the United States. Most of our hemp ingredients come from small American farms, and are either made with our partner farms or made with our co-packing manufacturer, which is a family-owned business in California.
Are your products tested?
Yes! We ask for test results of data safety sheets for all of our individual ingredients,  and then we re-test after we've made our formulations into finished goods. Plus you can see all of the test results on our product pages.
I am pregnant, can I use your products?
It's always best to consult your medical professional for the best recommendations. That said, topicals are generally thought to be safer as the ingredients will not enter the bloodstream.
How long do your products last?
Oil-based products can last up to two years after opening. Water-based products have a shelf life of about a year.

What are adaptogens?

Adaptogens are a select group of herbs and plants that support the body’s natural ability to deal with stress. They have been compared to a thermostat, moderating the body’s stress response like a thermostat controls temperature. Common ones include ginseng, reishi mushrooms, and cannabis.

What are nervines?

These are herbs that support the nervous system. Separate from adaptogens, which react to various stress levels, nervine herbs consistently support the nervous system.
